making fake blood
Whilst doing our research into the horror genre we saw that many different films used blood. So to prepare ourselves we experimented with ingredients and recipes for edible and non edible blood. We aimed to find the best recipes which we could infiltrate into our horror.
By doing this blood workshop we now know which blood will be best to use for our trailer. The "Realistic Blood" recipe will be best for dribbling from the mouth, however the "Chocolate Blood" recipe will be best for splattering. The "Peanut Butter Blood" is best for coughing up guts. As these 3 recipes are the best for our trailer, we plan to use all of them.
Making our own recipe for fake blood
After trying out different recipes we were inspired to create our own. Our recipe included; cocoa powder, golden syrup, tomato sauce, red food colouring, and water. Even though it didn't taste great, the thickness and colour worked great.
