Editing title backgrounds
Here are our experimental backgrounds we edited using both, Photoshop and PicMonkey. From our research, we noticed that many title backgrounds have dark tones with scratchy/cracked/blurred effect. So by taking inspiration from films such as "Mama" (2013) we have created the following backgrounds. The picture directly below is our chosen final background. We decided to use this as the tone is dark and grungy which related back to horror. Plus it has a darker area in the middle which will help the title stand out and clear to read.

5- Next we added in our titles, we chose this font as it was clear to read and decided to make it an off white colour so it would stand out from the dark and dingy background.

6- Through looking at many trailers we noticed that in nearly all of the more newer ones, in every shot there would be movement even if it was just slightly. So we then decided that we would use this method, so we used an effect called "Ke Burns" which let us adjust how much we wanted the frame to move:
